Eurogamer broke down the handful of items that can be bought standalone now, including a stadium theme and jerseys. Although  EA FC 24 Coins the big incentive for buying packs is usually acquiring new players, these standalone microtransactions are purely cosmetic, meaning players will still have to grind and shell out tons of cash for FC 24 players. These standalone items can be bought as a bundle for 700 EA Sports FC points (about $7) or individually.

A tifo costs 150 EA Sports FC points ($1.50), the stadium theme costs 200 points ($2), and the kits cost 300 points ($3). The items can also be purchased with FUT coins, which are earned through gameplay as opposed to microtransactions. The items cost anywhere from 11.500 coins to 25.000 coins but can be bought as a bundle for a whopping 60.000. which is more than the cost of a gold pack of random items. Players are also selling these items on the in-game market for far less than EA's asking price, some are more than half-off.

Needless to say, it's a bit messy. EA may add more items like this soon as FC 24 is coming to Xbox Game Pass. While a new entry to the franchise is expected to arrive in about 4 months, EA may be offering ways for newcomers to catch up and get kitted out at a cost. Unsuspecting users may bite, not realizing they can get the items for much cheaper from other players or worse, think they're valued fairly by EA.

EA has always been heavily criticized for how it schemes to get money out of players, such as the incredibly controversial online passes of the early 2010s which made players pay extra for multiplayer if they bought a game used. Thankfully, those days are gone, and EA has grown a lot since then, but the recent news surrounding FC 24 is concerning.

Players subscribed to EA Play and Xbox Game Pass services will receive access to FC 24 at no additional cost next week on Thursday, May 6. Electronic Arts originally teased FC 24's EA Play arrival a few weeks ago, upon announcing NHL 21's April 12 addition to the streaming service.

A couple of other heavy hitters have joined the program in recent months, too. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order entered the mix back in November 2020. for instance. Madden NFL 21 joined the EA Play library in March, as did the space combat game Star Wars: Squadrons. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers have gotten to take advantage of every one of these additions, too, courtesy of EA Play's bundling with the Game Pass Ultimate membership.

Better still, the combined offer allows Ultimate subscribers to make the most of all benefits afforded to EA Play subscribers, including discounts on EA digital purchases and free trials on the publisher's new releases. A certain sports title will soon sweeten the deal. In a post on the official EA Sports website, Electronic Arts revealed that FC 24 will join the EA Play collection next week on May 6. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can, of course, expect to enjoy this new addition, as well.

The sports title's arrival will come with a set of exclusive in-game rewards and challenges, such as FIFA Coins for sale Ultimate Team kits, and VOLTA FOOTBALL gear. Another bonus includes a Season XP boost for the start of each season in EA Sports FC Ultimate Team, which should prove beneficial for those looking to reach level 30 rewards at a quicker pace.
