Watches and Wonders 2023 - Zenith reaches new heights
Everyone associates the Replica Zenith watches name with exceptional quality and design. These two releases confirmed that they are still at the top of their game.
DEFY Revival of Shadows
First up is the DEFY Revival Shadow, a modern take on the late 1960s DEFY Silhouette. The finely machined angular case is now made of titanium and features a stunning tetradexagonal bezel. A micro-sandblasted matte finish brings the whole thing to life, as if it's been brought into the twenty-first century. Zenith’s stepped bracelet perfectly matches the watch, which is not only beautiful but also practical; the original design came from the famous Gay Freres company in 1969 and was exclusively designed for Zenith. The bracelet is crafted from titanium and micro-sandblasted to blend seamlessly with the case, and features an updated clasp bearing the Zenith name.
As one would expect, the clasp is also titanium and has been micro-sandblasted. The whole thing is a joy to watch. The matte black dial is simple and uncluttered, with the date window located between the 4 and 5 o'clock positions. The case is water-resistant to 300m and proudly protects the Zenith Elite 670 in-house movement. The Elite 670 vibrates at 28,800 vph and has a respectable 50-hour power reserve. replica mens watches
Zenith Caliber 670 - Zenith
The screw-down crown is located at 3 o'clock and is embossed with the famous Zenith star; it is micro-sandblasted and perfectly in place. The cream Super-LumiNova coating adapts to low-light conditions and complements the vintage look of the dial. As one would expect, the front and back glass is sapphire crystal.
New "Pilot" Series
The second version is Zenith’s new “Pilot” series. While DEFY Revival Shadow is amazing, the pilot series is 100% hardcore Zenith. The brand has been at the forefront of pilot instrumentation from the beginning, and their Pilot series has undoubtedly endured over the years. Can you top the El Primero Rainbow Flyback? replica Bomberg BB-01 Watches
This new PILOT range has been designed from the ground up, but oddly enough, it greets you like an old friend. The 42.5mm case of the chronograph is made of stainless steel or, if you prefer, black ceramic; as mentioned before, Zenith is an old hand at this and it certainly shows.
Everything is presented in a clean and effortless way that can only be achieved through the depth of understanding accumulated over decades. The pilot’s oversized crown is almost a work of art, and without the Zentraedi star relief it would look naked. The twin subdials at 3 and 9 o'clock are perfectly proportioned to the large date window at 6 o'clock between them; when something is right, it's right!
The sword-shaped hour and minute hands fit so perfectly with the Arabic numerals that the whole thing is almost invisible, while the arrow-shaped seconds hand always stands out. The 6 o'clock mark is a horizontal line depicting the artificial horizon on an aircraft instrument panel, evoking an earlier era. At the risk of stating the obvious, the crystals on the front and back are once again sapphire, and Zenith’s El Primero 3652 flyback chronograph movement inside is visible through the exhibition caseback. Beating at 36,000 vph (5 Hz) and with a power reserve of 60 hours, this movement is everything Zenith is.
We'd love to say it's the best engineering ever, but really, it's just Zenith! The new products represent Zenith’s endless pursuit of innovation while retaining the serious design they represent. With the new release coming in 2023, we realize this is a brand we don’t write about enough.
